Assisting the customer in recovering the corrupted dashboard. The customer purchased a Kia Niro 2023 from an auction with an unknown history. Everything seemed fine until he discovered that the mileage was at 0 and not moving. Initially, he thought was looking at the trip computer that needed resetting, so he visited the Kia Main Dealer to resolve issue. After booking an appointment, he the car to the service center. few days later, Kia contacted the customer to inform him that they were unable to the issue and that the dashboard had multiple electronic errors. They suggested replacing the dashboard which would cost £3,500. Once they received a new dashboard, they could program it and set the original mileage. The customer refused to pay that amount and asked to have the car released. He began searching online for a different company that could help with the issue. This search led him to Dash Mileage Correction, who agreed to attempt fixing the instrument cluster.
After removing the dashboard, we quickly discovered electronic manipulation by someone for an unknown reason. was good news as it gave us a direction to work on. After further investigation, we found that the was corrupted and the mileage had been completely wiped off. The solution was to inject new software back on the bench and set the original mileage. Voila! Everything was fixed, and the customer managed to save a lot of money.
